The Content Browser is a panel that gathers everything you can use in the editor in one place. Find vanilla blocks, custom blocks, props, prefabs, sounds, textures, shader looks and project files, and drag them into the viewport to use them right away.
- In the default layout, it is the Content Browser tab in the bottom area of the screen.
- If you closed it, turn on Content Browser from the Window menu.
- If the bottom area is collapsed, expand it with Ctrl+Space.
- In the console,
content <query> shows the first 20 search results as text.
- In the source tree on the left, click Vanilla blocks › Building.
- Type
oak stairs or 계단 in the search box.
- Click a tile once to make it the block to place.
- Drag a tile into the viewport to place it right there.
- For things you use often, right-click › Add to favorites.

- Vanilla blocks are divided into categories (Building · Nature · Plant · Ores · Minerals · Color · Functional · Redstone · Lighting · Decor · Other).
- Project shows files in the folder that contains the world file.
- A red name is a block that does not exist in the current target version (Minecraft versions).
- The badge at the bottom right of a custom tile shows whether it is included in the resource pack (box) or excluded (closed eye).

- While placing a prefab, click = place, R = rotate, F = flip, Esc = cancel.
- When you drag in a model file, you are first asked for the import mode (display · convert to blocks · original shape).

- If you have not loaded the jar, vanilla block icons are shown as name-colored placeholders.
- If you change a custom id, already placed blocks and props keep the old id. Replace
np:oldid → np:newid with the replace tool.
- Refresh rereads the prefab, sound, look and project folders, and also rereads changed custom sources.
- An empty tree shows a hint about what fills it (for example “No prefabs — select a region, then “Tools → Save selection as prefab"").
