Settings
There are two kinds of settings. Editor Preferences are saved per user on this PC and apply to every world. Project Settings are saved inside the world file and apply only to that world.

Using the settings windows
Section titled “Using the settings windows”Editor Preferences and Project Settings use the same window layout.

Values apply as soon as you change them. Editor Preferences are saved to settings.cfg immediately. Project Settings go into the world file when you save the world, and changes can be undone with Ctrl+Z.
Editor Preferences

Shortcuts
Section titled “Shortcuts”The Shortcuts section shows the number of registered commands, changed keys and conflicts. Open the Shortcuts window with Edit shortcuts…. See “Shortcuts window” below.
Performance

Nearby areas (within about 112 blocks) are drawn per chunk; beyond that, they are grouped into 64³ regions. They look the same; only the number of draw calls goes down.
Autosave

The autosave folder is %APPDATA%\NPEditor\autosave\. Open the most recent one with File › Load autosave.
AI connection

The Copy config (for Claude Desktop) button copies the MCP registration JSON to the clipboard. For details, see AI connection (MCP).
Plugins
Section titled “Plugins”Shows the number of loaded plugins and warnings. Use Plugin Manager… to enable, disable and reload external plugins.
Interface language

- Choose Edit › Editor Preferences… › General › 언어 · Language.
- Restart the editor.
Since 0.9.7: On-screen text can be shown in Korean, English, Japanese or Chinese.
Project Settings
Section titled “Project Settings”These apply only to the current world. They are saved in the world file, and changes can be undone.

Performance settings window
Section titled “Performance settings window”Tools › Performance settings… shows the same values as Performance in Preferences in a separate window. At the top are the Low-end PC · Default · High-end preset buttons. At the bottom, the CPU core count and a description of the rendering approach are shown.
- If things are slow, first click the Low-end PC preset.
- Then check FPS and the meshing queue with the Ctrl+F7 performance overlay.
- If the distance looks cut off on a large map, increase the view distance.
Shortcuts window
Section titled “Shortcuts window”Open it with Tools › Shortcuts… (Ctrl+Alt+K). The table columns are Command · Key · Region · Source.

- Changed keys are saved immediately. The keys in parentheses in menu text also update immediately.
- If you move a default key, pressing the old key shows a “has moved to another key” notification.
- Keys registered by external plugins also appear in this window in the External plugins group.
You can also change them with console commands.
